Menopause, I have one word for you:  Meh!  As someone who has opted to end this period naturally, I am faced with challenges monthly.  A different challenge every month, it would seem.  This month, it was excessive bleeding - again!  I thought I had mastered that issue already.  But no, Aunt Flo came home seeing red.  And she lingered for days.

To the internet I went, looking for a "band-aid".  This time, I was seeking an essential oil for menorrhagia.  To my disappointment, the suggested oil, Cyprus, was missing from my home pharmacy.  Then I spotted Geranium.  This was listed as a hemostatic, (stops bleeding).  "Hey!" I thought, "this applies!"   Since that oil was in my collection, it was worth a try.  After rubbing it on the usual spot, the sole of the foot, I also applied it to my belly, going straight to the source of the problem.

It worked like a champ!  The flow dried up for about five hours.  When it started up again, more was applied, belly and sole.  Again, dry as an Arizona riverbed in August.

I also read that cod liver oil would help.  "Stupid me", I thought, "why did I go off that?"  Two tablespoons initially, and one tablespoon daily thereafter was the cure.  Not being the scientific type, but the practical type, I decided to try that, too.  It can't hurt.  And it's sooo healthy.  All I can say is, it's working, and I'll not turn back.

Isn't an oil or two much better than a hysterectomy?
